ComCase R2

The second generation ComCase R2 is a 2U 19" rackmount enclusure capable of housing PC/104 & PC/104 Plus cards using a custom motherboard. In addition the R2 has been designed to hold thermal plated PC/104 & PC/104 Plus cards utlizing passive conduction cooling. The ComCase R2 has also been equiped with rugged IP67 rated connectors and is gasketed at all seems to protect against moisture and dust.

Available with 110-220 VAC or 18-32 VDC power supply the ComCase R2 is flexible in design and can accomodate multiple Mobile Access Routers and for added port density a Catalyst 2955 Switch. The ComCase R2 is also reversible allowing sensitive ethernet cable connections to be at the back of the unit for added protection while the console ports are easily accessed on the front panel.

ComCase R

The ComCase R was developed to fill a need for the ability to mount the Cisco 3200 Mobile Access Router in a standard 19" communications rack. The ComCase R houses up to 6 PC/104 Plus cards and 6 PC/104 cards. Custom interfaces for the MAR, IPE, Wireless cards and 3rd party 104 cards are provided on the front and rear panels. The ComCase R is also Available with redundant power supplies with alarms the ComCase R is ideal for mobile command vehicles.

Western DataCom has also developed a custom rack mount bracket to secure the ComCase R into a standard 19" rack. This bracket provides added vibration dampening as well as fasteners to secure the ComCase R into the bracket. A custom motherboard provides a communications back plane as well as power to the various cards housed in the ComCase R. Dual fans provide cooling and LED's illustrate chassis status at glance.

The ability to hold both PC/104 Plus and PC/104 cards allows the ComCase R to be flexible in its configuration lending itself to a wide range of applications. For details on a custom configuration please contact our sales department.
