Router Solution
The Western DataCom ComCase H is a tactical design mobile access router solution specifically suited for mounting into a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The fully integrated, rugged solution provides all the vital components necessary to establish wired and wireless communications back to the home network utilizing industry standard mobile IP. The unique size of the ComCase H allows it to be installed on the wheel well of an M114 up armored HMMWV and yet remain flexible enough to use dismounted.
The use of mobile IP allows a variety of connectivity options such as Satellite, 802.16, 802.11 a/b/g, tactical radio and cellular broadband. These numerous connectivity options are all automatically transitioned using the MAR configured for mobile IP. in addition to housing a mobile access router the ComCase H also holds a single board computer, optional interface cards, encryption hardware and an 810F tablet PC that is removable. The entire package measures 15 inches by 12 inches by 11 inches and weighs less than 35 pound (dependent upon component load). The addition of both the internal SBC and a removable tablet PC allows for the usage of applications specific programs such as GIS, VoIP and Radio over IP.
