Westlake, Ohio - Western DataCom received a Phase II SBIR contract from the US Navy for $1.2 million dollars effective February, 2008. This contract is to continue the development of key management security algorithms for use in the next generation of the Internet Protocol 6 (IPv6). This security development will be in used in US government networks and eventually licensed to commercial Internet users who are upgrading their networks from the Internet Protocol 4 to IPv6.

Western DataCom demonstrates Aerostat Emergency Response System as cost effective solution for communications during catastrophic events.  Equiped with 802.11g, cameras and sensors the low altitude airship provides a communications bubble over 20-miles with video.
