Blimp tested as crisis management tool.
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008UPI (9/26) reports, “Emergency response authorities in Ohio Wednesday tested the high-tech AerOhio1 Aerostat blimp as a communication tool to aid crisis management.” Officials form several agencies, universities and businesses, including the Glenn Research Center, “simulated a disaster Wednesday in Port Clinton, Ohio, to test the capabilities of the AerOhio1 Aerostat blimp.” The blimp is “equipped with high-tech sensors to send visuals of disaster scenes to aid emergency response authorities on the ground.”
